Prithvi Pankaj Shaw is an Indian Cricketer who was born on Nov 9, 1999, in Virar (Thane), Maharashtra. He is a right-hand top-order batsman of India and a part-time right-arm off-break bowler as well. He has been a reputed first-class cricketer where he has an outstanding record.
Prithvi made the debut in the first-class cricket for Mumbai in the year 2017 on Jan 15. The match which was played between Mumbai vs Tamil Nadu at Rajkot, Gujarat. He also plays in the Indian Premier League from the Delhi Daredevils side.

The performance of the Prithvi Shaw as a first-class cricketer has been great over the years and recently he rewarded when he got the opportunity to debut for India in Test Cricket. This 18-year old batsman vindicated his selection when he scored a scored a century in a test match and a half-century.
He is also one of the youngest debutant players to hit the century in the test cricket. Prithvi Shaw completes this century in just 99 balls in the very first match played in Rajkot against West Indies.
He broke the record of Abbas Ali Baig (Indian Cricketer) where he made the century against England in the year 1959 against England. In that match, he scored 134 runs after facing 154 balls in his innings. When Baig set that record, he was 20 years 131 days while Shaw was 18 years 329 days old when he scored these runs in Rajkot.
Prithvi Shaw was the hero of the Rajkot test where he also became the Man of the Match and he was included in the list of Man of the Match Award in his debutant match. After making the century and half-century, he also drew the attention from the former Indian players as well as the world cricketers.

Prithvi Shaw came to limelight in the year 2013 when he made unbeaten 546 runs in just 330 balls when he was playing from the ‘Rizvi Springfield High School’ side in the Harris Shield Cricket Tournament.
This was the Under 14 tournament that made him a sizzling player when he scored the new world record of runs since the beginning of the cricket in 1901. After this record of runs, Prithvi was awarded by the cash of the Rs 36 lakh with SG which is endorsed by the great Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, and Virender Sehwag.
Pranav Dhanawade surpasses this record of Prithvi Shaw on Jan 4, 2016, when he made 1009 runs. Prithvi Shaw has got a deal worth Rs 36 lakh with SG, which has been endorsed by stalwarts like Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, and Virender Sehwag in the past.
Prithvi Shaw was also rewarded when he picked for the England Tour for last two test matches after a sizzling performance in First Class Cricket and the world cup as well. But unfortunately, he couldn’t make his place in the Last Eleven in those two matches.
After all, he was selected in all matches against Windies in the home and he proved his selection correct influencing the selectors as well as the spectators. He made his debut in Rajkot on October 4th, 2018 and hit a century in his very first test match playing an aggressive Inning.

Prithvi Shaw completed his initial schooling from A. V. S. Vidyamandir, Virar, Mumbai while he later went to Rizvi Springfield High School, Mumbai. Now, he is doing his graduation from Rizvi College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Mumbai, India.
Prithvi received the offer of Amitabh Arun Parekh (AAP) Entertainment Limited when he was just 11-year old. In this offer, he had to shift in Mumbai and could continue study along with the cricket. So he was encouraged by his father and he gave the permission to his son to pursue his career in the cricket.
His Cricket Career:
Prithvi Shaw has been set the various records in the first-class cricket so far from his debut in Jan 2017 against Tamil Nadu. In this match, Prithvi was declared Man of the Match. In the year 2017, he also made a debut in List A cricket against Gujarat in the Vijay Hazare Tournament at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Indian Premier League (IPL):
Currently, Prithvi Shaw is playing from the Delhi Daredevils side. He became one of the youngest players to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) when he was selected for DD. Prithvi Shaw was picked by the franchise for INR 1.2 Crore in the year 2018.
Prithvi scored 22 runs facing 10 balls in the very first match of Delhi Daredevils and it was a glorious inning.
